Timber Cladding
Oak Cladding
Cut to order in square edge or feather edge boards. Board widths and thicknesses cut to any specification.
Green Oak weathers down to a silvery grey colour giving an aged look, after about two years with treatment.
Waney - Edged Cladding
Waney- Edged Cladding is our own production here on site, it is either sawn from Douglas Fir or Larch. This Cladding is used extensively on gables, dormers, agricultural and equestrian buildings. Waney - Edged means the timber will have a Natural / Bark edge of the tree to it.
The Boards will be 18mm thick and typically 250 - 300mm wide.
Castellated Cladding
Castellated Cladding is a vertical softwood cladding which again is our own production here on site. This is machined from Douglas Fir and consists of two sizes, 20 x 175mm which is overlapped by 28 x 125mm. Lengths can be specified to suit individual jobs.
We have used this type of cladding on our office building.
Lunawood Claddings
Lunawood has been Thermo-processed for 6 days at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius.
The chemical changes that take place in the timber during this processing lead to the timbers ability to retain water significantly reduced, it also breaks down the hemicelluloses (sugar chains) making the timber no longer nutritionally supportive of decay-causing fungi.

Treatment
Pressure treatment is available with a typical lead time of 3 - 4 working days, this can be in either Tanalised which is a green treatment or Vac-Vac which is a clear treatment.
