Flooring Treatment

The traditional method of sealing solid flooring was to oil the newly sanded floor and then wax the floor. The oil soaks into the wood and hardens, and the wax seals the surface.

Hard Wax Oil

A blend of natural oils and waxes offering durability and resistance for internal natural wood flooring, wooden kitchen worktops and areas subjected to a high degree of wear.

Hard Wax Oil produces a quick drying, natural satin / matt water repellent, tread fast finish that will not peel or flake.

We keep 1 litre and 2.5 litre tins in stock

Preparation

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from any previous finish. Sand with a fine 150 grade sanding paper or disk and remove all traces of dust.

Application

Ensure all areas to be coated are well ventilated.

No primer required.

Maximum two coats recommended.

Apply at room temperature.

Coverage

A single application will cover approximately 20 - 24 square meters per litre
